It seems like Frankie truly has eyes in the back of her head when she busts both Sue and Axl for making some bad choices that they thought no one would ever find out about. But when it turns out that she’s using Brick to be her snitch, Mike is completely against it.
The Clover
Brick believes that a clover he found is bringing bad luck. Elsewhere, Axl is shocked, when his friend asks Sue to the prom.
The Guidance Counselor
Sue forms a connection with her awkward guidance counselor (Whoopi Goldberg). Frankie is frustrated when Mike insists on assembling their new bed by himself. Meanwhile, Brick tries to relay a complaint to the president.
Get Your Business Done
After attending a new church, Frankie is inspired by a pastor who wants people to live without regrets by fulfilling their own destiny.
The Paper Route
Brick takes a job delivering newspapers from the town’s newsman, in order to save up enough money to buy night vision goggles.
Leap Year
Sue wishes for a big birthday bash for her Leap Year birthday. Meanwhile, Frankie learns that Mike has been taking care of a stray cat, Brick develops a crush at school, and Axl becomes fascinated with vacuuming.
The Sit Down
The kids have a meeting with Frankie and Mike about their parenting techniques, and they are thrown for a loop, when their parents attempt to change.
The Concert
Frankie is determined to obtain tickets to a Justin Bieber concert for Sue. Elsewhere, Mike trains Brick for the annual school spelling bee, and Axl and his friends attempt to break a speed limit on foot.
Valentine’s Day III
Frankie and Mike decide to try a fresh approach to Valentine’s Day by having dinner out with friends. But a clueless Mike angers Frankie by refusing to present her with a simple romantic gesture.
Hecking It Up
With Indiana hosting the Super Bowl, Frankie is devastated when she hopes to land a plum assignment as an official volunteer and ends up with a less-than-stellar position.
The Map
After Aunt Ginny’s funeral, Frankie realizes the need to celebrate more milestones in her family’s lives. Elsewhere, Axl eats Brick’s school project, and a delighted Sue discovers that a boy at school likes her.
Year of the Hecks
Frankie randomly assigns New Year’s resolutions to each family member, but chaos ensues, when everyone tries to live up to her expectations.
A Christmas Gift
While Mike tries to keep his Christmas gift of a new dishwasher a secret from Frankie, his wife plans a Christmas Eve party and wants him to install a new dishwasher prior to the festivities.
Thanksgiving III
This year the Hecks head to Frankie’s parent’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving but, when Frankie’s sister Janet arrives with her family, sibling rivalry interferes with the festivities.
The Play
Frankie and Sue are cast in a theater production of “The Wizard of Oz”‘; Brick invites his uncle to Special Friends Day at school.
